Mangaluru, March 4, 2016 : The crew of the private buses operating on the Moodbidri-Bantwal route resorted to a lightning strike on March 3, Thursday morning to protest against an alleged assault on a bus conductor at Puchchemogaru in Moodbidri police station limits two days ago. A demonstration was also staged in Siddakatte demanding action against those responsible for the assault on the conductor.
The protest was later withdrawn after police intervened and assured to arrest the perpetrators of the attack within the two-day deadline set by the protestors. BJP leaders Sulochana GK Bhat, Jagadish Adikhari, ZP Member Tungappa Bangera, and others too had joined the protesting bus crew.
The assault had taken place two days ago when the private bus was intercepted near Shantinagar Colony at Puchchemogaru. The conductor Yogish Poojary was reportedly attacked by a gang of four, while the driver Naveen was also threatened by the assailants who were wielding a knife.
Soon after the incident, the assailants walked away and a minor girl who was in the bus too alighted and was escorted by a motorist.
Meanwhile, in another revelation it has been gathered that a minor girl who used to travel by the bus had lodged a complaint against the conductor Yogish alleging that he was troubling her and was also demanding her cell phone number. The complaint had also alleged that he used to molest the girl.

If they lodge the complaint in the police station they need proof and eyewitness for everything .They ask so many questions that the whole day they get held up instead they attack and behave so.Because of this they take law in their hands. | |
