Puttur gold fraud case - accused still at large.

Puttur: July 9, 2015: A case was registered against Shrivara Jewellers in Puttur for luring people with various fraud schemes.

The accused Balakrishna Bhat was operating Jewellery shop in Velankani complex in Darbe in Puttur.

The owner of the shop lured people with benefit schemes with the context of providing gold in return to the money they pay in the installment. But when the final dates came closer, Balakrishna Bhat ran away with the money closing the Jewelery shop.

The customers who were being lured away lodged a complaint at a local police station against Balakrishna Bhat.

The police investigated the matter and started looking out for his whereabouts but could not trace him. The police seized his Bank account and passport and are searching in every way possible.

The accused is still at large.

There are so many cheating cases in the district, still the people fall in such fraud schemes and lose money. Think before you invest in any scheme.

The business license of such firm has to be cancelled.
