Puttur, June 19, 2020:    A young police officer hailing from Kaniyoor in Keyyur village of Puttur taluk has won hearts through his humanitarian gesture of  deciding to take care of an elderly couple who  are totally shattered after losing all their money to a  fraudster.

Pradeep Poojary who is presently serving as a sub-inspector in Vishwanathapur police station in Devanahalli taluk is the kind hearted police officer who has rushed to the help of the elderly couple.

Basavanapura residents  Narasimhappa (85) and Gangamma (75) had  lost all the money and jewellery after they fell trap to a fraudster who had visited their  house claiming  to be a bank staff. The couple who had come to the station to lodge their complaint had narrated their woes to Pradeep who was deeply moved and has decided to take care of the elderly couple just like their own son.

Pradeep Poojary has been serving the Police Department since the past ten years. He is an alumnus of  Alva’s College, Moodbidri and was known as a good sportsman during his college days.
