Puttur 13 oct, 2015: A four day padayatra by the BJP members leading Nalin Kumar expected to conclude on October 13, Tuesday. Nalin Kumar issused a warning to the State Government on October 12 stating that if the Government doesn’t withdraw Yettinahole project, the ptotest would be similar to the Ayodya Karseva of late 1980’s and early 1990’s he said.
The Uppinagady Seer Sri Guru Sudhindrakala Mandira addressed the people saying all the religious leaders and the BJP’s are against to the project. This wll besimilar to the Second world war and we will win in our journey. The BJP’s will support against the project and the aim of this rally will be the same always. BJP will not indulge in politics when faced with the question of the survival of Dakshina Kannada district.
We have not criticized anybody in particular outside the context of protests. However, some people who want the implementation of the project are trying to give a political colour to it. If they have guts let them protest from their parties against the Yettinahole project. Let the aim of all the people be one," he said.
If the Government fails to drop Yettinhole, our protest will go on. Our aim is to secure the people of Dakshina Kannada from the drawbacks of Yettinahole project. The concluding ceremony of the project will be conducted at Gundya on October 13 in the evening. If the rally reaches the destination late it will be postponed to next day morning, is said.
The BJP DK President Pratap Simha Nayak, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, District Convener of padayatra Sanjeeva Mathandoor, Former MLC Monappa Bhandary , MLA Rukmayya Poojary , Chandrahasa Ullal, Umakanth Kotian, Zilla Panchayat member Keshava Gowda Bajatjur and many others were present in the rally.
