Puttur Swimmers represent the Indian team at World lifesaving competition at Australia

Puttur, Nov 24, 2018: Two Swimmers from Puttur Aquatic Club Sweekrith Anand and Trishul along with their team manager Rohith are currently participating in the World Life saving Championship in Adelaide, Australia.

This lifesaving competition began on November 22nd and will commence on December 5th in Adelaide.

Both Trishul and Sweekrith Anand had done extremely well at the selection round at  Indore, earlier this year.Team performed  very well by winning Individual Championship (in Master Category) by Mr. Sweekrith Anand and Mr. Thrishul winning runner up in his category.

12 wimmers from all over the country were selected to represent Team India in World Life Saving Championship which is currently taking place in Adelaide, South Australia from 19th November to 5th December 2018. Mr. Thrishul and Mr. Sweekrith Anand from Puttur Aquatic Club, Puttur train at Dr.Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming pool Puttur and in St.Alosius pool, Mangalore.They were introduced to Lifesaving activities by Coach Partha Varanashi and Coach Niroop.

Thrishul a 2nd PUC commerce student from St.Philomena PU  College , Puttur is  representing National Youth Team and Mr. Sweekrith Anand also a competitive swimmer  is representing National Open Team  .Rohith who works as an assistant swim coach in Puttur is accompanying this team as a Team manager.

Sweekrith and Trishul will  take part in a series of races both in the beaches and in the sea, which includes Mannequin carry, beach run, surf race, board race, Lane throw etc
