Mangalore Today News Network

Puttur, Oct 16, 2016: In a case of mysterious theft reported from a house at Mudipanadka in Kuntur village on the night of October 15, Friday, thieves have decamped with  eight sovereigns of gold apart from Rs 75,000 in cash.

Interestingly, the doors, locks and windows of the house of KT Abdul Rahiman where the theft occurred were intact. The occupants of the house who were fast asleep came to know about the theft only the next morning.

The suspicion now is that  the thief might have made his way into the house during day time and hid in some corner or attic.

Sniffer dogs which were pressed into service went around for nearly 150  meters around the house and returned.

Investigations are underway.
