Puttur, Mar 11, 2014 : Police have apprehended one of the two accused in the case of alleged rape on a teenager  after sedating her. The incident was reported from Kadaba near Puttur.


arrest puttur 1The arrested man is Purushottam (31), while another accused Dhruva, who is a friend of the former, is still at large.


The two who were neighbours of the 16 year old girl, took her along with them when she was alone and raped her in an isolated hilly area. The matter however came to light six months later when the girl informed her parents about the incident.


It is learnt, the victim is a class X student and the accused duo had threatened her against divulging the matter with anyone.

Kadaba police are investigating.
