Puttur : Man arrested for offending mother of Tulunad folk legends Koti-Chennaya

Puttur, Sep 11,2017 : Police have arrested a youth on the charges of offending the statue of Deyi Baidethi, the mother of Tulunad folk legends Koti-Chennaya at the Baidethi herbal garden set up by the Forest Department near Padumale, the birthplace of the heroes of Tulunad.

The arrested person has been identified as Haneef. He had posted a photo in social sites wherein he is seen in an obscene posture with the statue of Deyi Baidethi.

The Billawa Samithi had lodged a complaint with the rural police alleging that the accused had offended Deyi following which he has been arrested.

The accused is a driver by profession.
