Puttur , Jun 17, 2019 :  Jayaraj Jain Elika, a Congress leader,  has reportedly committed suicide by  hanging himself. His body was found  hanging from a tree near his house at Elika in Narimogaru village on June 16, Sunday morning.

Jayaraj is survived by his wife and son.  He was also the Vice President of Koti Chennaya Jodukare Kambala Samithi. The reason behind his suicide is not known.
