Puttur, Sep 07, 2015: A man was assaulted by the locals at Ishwaramangala in Putur for trying to hire a woman, working in the farm. The incident came to light on September, 05 Saturday.  The man belonged to Kerala, but was unknown to the locals.

It is said that a man had been to a farm to buy chicken. He noticed the woman and asked whether would come along with him for Rs.500.The locals noticed his behaviour and chased him away.

After a while once again he appeared in the farm pointed the same woman, enquired a small boy whether the woman agreed to come for Rs.1000. It was his bad luck, the boy happened to be her son, he informed the matter to the locals. They tied him up, thrashed and later handed him to the police.

 A case has been registered in Puttur police station.
