Pulwama terror attack: District BJP stages protest

Mangaluru, Feb 18  2019: Condemning the Pulwama terror attack, the district Bharatiya Janatha Party staged a protest in front of the DC office on Monday, February 18, 2019.  Though late, the district BJP did not want to lose a publicity opportunity out of a calamity, flocked together to show case their protest in public.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was in his best in condemning the gruesome attack at Pulwama in which 40 CRPF personnel died. He said, "Our country has been facing terror attack for long and we have retaliated whenever there was an attack took place.  We have avenged for attack in Uri and in the north east”. “Comparing to the previous government, there was least terror incidence in the present government” he explained. He demanded the Prime Minister, Modi to teach Pakistan and Terrorists a fitting lesson for Pulwama attack.

Umanath Kotian, Moodbidiri MLA wanted people to unite together fight against terror. Expressing solidarity with army, he said the people of the country are with them. He regretted for what has happened in Pulwama and hoped that such attacks don’t happen in future. He said tha the PM will take stern action against the enemy including the traitors who have betrayed the nation.

Sanjeev Matandoor, Puttur MLA , Rajesh Naik, Bantwal MLA, Angara, Sullia MLA, Capt Brijesh Chowta, District BJP general secretary, Pooja Pai, Corporator were among others present.
