Protest against Suratkal toll gate politically motivated : MP Nalin

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2018: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has alleged that the protest demanding closure of Suratkal toll gate was politically motivated.

 

Speaking to reporters at the party office here on October 26, Friday, he said the toll gate at Mukka near Suratkal   was constructed during the UPA tenure. Then Oscar Fernandes was the Union Minister, he said adding people who had not opposed then are  now opposing for no reason. There is nothing but politics behind the protest, Nalin said.

He said the BJP is committed to vacate the  toll gates at Mukka and BC Road. He further informed that the flyover works at Pumpwell and Thokkottu will be completed in December.

MLAs Sanjeeva Matandoor, Dr Bharath Shetty, Umanath Kotian, party leaders Brijesh Chowta, Harikrishna Bantwal and others were present.
