Mangaluru, July 23,2017: Prohibitory orders in Bantwal taluk has been extended till 9 a.m. on July 26. A.C. Renuka Prasad, Assistant Commissioner, Mangaluru Sub-division, issued an order to this effect.
The orders have been extended to maintain law and order in view of the recent communal attacks.
According to C.H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy, Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada, prohibitory orders imposed in Belthangady, Sullia and Puttur taluks by the Deputy Commissioner have not been extended. The orders ended on July 21 midnight.
Ban orders imposed by T.R. Suresh, Mangaluru Police Commissioner, covering the jurisdiction of Mangaluru Police Commissionerate is in force till July 30 midnight.
