Prashanth Poojary murder case: One accused arrested

Hiriadka, July 15, 2019: Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of private bus operator Prashanth Poojary (37) who was a resident of Doopadakatte in Bairampalli village.
The arrested person is Rakshak Poojary (19) of Kukkehalli. Police are on the lookout for another accused Sachin Naik (24) of Alangaru who is absconding.
Rakshak was arrested on Sunday evening at Hebri following definite information, by a team led by Brahmavar Circle Inspector Srikanth who is the investigation officer of the case. The accused will be produced before the court today.
The accused had hacked Prashanth to death at around midnight on July 11 near his house over the issue of non-payment of instalments of loan taken from a Co-operative society.
