Mangaluru, Jan 6, 2015 : State Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa on January 5, Monday came under fire from senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary for levelling allegations against his own party men.
Speaking to media men here, Poojari opined that the Speaker was acting in an insensible manner just because he was not given a position in the party as per his wish.
As a Speaker, Kagodu should know his limits, Poojary said adding if at all he had any dissent, then he has to discuss it with the Chief Minister rather than making allegations openly.
He also urged Kagodu to learn from the speakers of the assemblies of other states.
Here it is worth mentioning here that Kagodu Timmappa had recently asked the Chief Minister to warn Health Minister UT Khader for allegedly presenting false statistics in the Assembly. In a more recent act, Kagodu had even convened a press meet to openly criticise the Congress administration in the state.
