Udupi, Sep 19, 2016: KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao has taken strong exception to the recent remarks of Congress veteran Janardhan Poojary that the Congress party would not stay for long in the state if KJ George was re-inducted into the cabinet and has dubbed it as a politically motivated statement.
Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Bhavan at Brahmagiri on September 18, Sunday, he also asked Poojary not to make such unnecessary statements. If required, the AICC will take necessary action, he added.
Continuing, he said former minister George had nothing to do with the DySP Ganapathi suicide case and alleged that it was a political conspiracy of the BJP even when there was no evidence to prove that George had any links with the case.
Referring to the Cauvery row, Dinesh said the state has to abide by the Supreme Court ruling. At the same time he said the Prime Minister had the responsibility of ensuring that justice is done to both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes, Udupi in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj and others were present.

We should take stand only when it is genuine and just for sake of the party. If George is wrong we have yo accept it and not blindly support | |
