Mangaluru Dec 15, 2016: Senior Congress Leader Janardhana Poojary has demanded CBI probe into Meti sex CD row. He said that in order to avoid further complications Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has handed over the case to the CID as it comes under the control of the state.
He was addressing media at Press Club on Thursday December 15. Referring to the claims of RTI activist Rajashekar Murali who leaked the sex scandal that he had information about the misconduct of two other ministers and three MLA and MPs, Poojary alleged that the CM was least bothered to know who they are. "Is Siddaramaiah incapable of finding the culprits in his own government? Why didn’t he contact Rajashekar in this regard?, "questioned Poojary.
"The party needs CM’s response on this issue. If he cannot garner information, it is his fault," Poojary said and urged RTI activist Rajashekar to release documents regarding the other erring elected representatives.
’Cashless society is impossible : On demonetization, Poojary said one can see people still suffering due to the cash crunch and added that one could notice “No Cash” boards hung up outside banks and ATMs. On the cashless society concept which the Prime Minister is promoting, Poojary said there was no such concept in the whole world and that creating the same was impossible.
