Poojari slams Yeddyurappa for decision to rejoin BJP

Mangalore, Jan 1, 2014 : Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari  has questioned why  former CM BS Yeddyurappa was now rejoining the BJP at a time when he had vowed in the past that he would not go back to the BJP.

Speaking to reporters here on December 31, Tuesday, Poojari said  even the BJP  now feels it needs Yeddyurappa and could not do without him.  What message can the BJP give to the people, if it reinducts Yeddyurappa into the party?,questioned Poojari.

Poojari also lashed out at Gujarat CM Narendra Modi for agreeing to reinduct Yeddyurappa to the party at a time when he speaks much against corruption and the anti-corruption agenda of the BJP.

On the Pejawar seer’s decision not to sit in palanquins carried by people, Poojari said  he hoped other religious leaders too would follow suit.

Poojari also reassured areca growers that there would be no ban on areca. Congress leaders including Suresh Ballal, Mohammad Masood, Ibrahim Kodijal, Harikrishna Bantwal were also preset at the press meet.
