Poll code of conduct: Check-posts set up, security measures stepped up

Mangaluru, Mar 18, 2024: With the election code of conduct in force following the announcement of Lok Sabha poll dates, the administration is taking all essential measures and has set up check posts at various points.

Individuals carrying cash and valuables above Rs 50,000 must possess relevant documents regarding the same failing which they will have to face an FIR. While those possessing or transferring cash for wedding or business related purposes, they must possess the invitation cards or relevant business related documents.

Presently there are 23 check-posts in Dakshina Kannada district at strategic points including Charmadi, Naravi, Beluvayi-Karkala, Bappanadu, Maroor, Todar-Edapadavu, Kulur, Mukka, Eshwaramangala, Saradka, Jalsoor, Sampaje, Gundya. Adamkudru, Nanthoor, Kottara, Talapady, Mudipu, Nettila Padavu, Anekal, Salethur, Nellikatte and Panaje.
