Mangaluru, Nov 13, 2015: After the Bantwal incident in Bantwal in the night District Administration has imposed prohibitory orders under sec 144 of IPC trough out Dakshina Kannada district whereas Mangalore City Police resorted into closing down all the establishments in the city including News Paper stalls and Nandini Milk booths today morning.

As precautionary measure District Magistrate AB Ibrahim has passed the order on Thursday night and took steps to deploy additional police force in the district. The DC also announced one day holiday for all schools and colleges in the district.

On Thursday, Bajaranga dal had clarified that no bundh will be observed on Noveber 13, Friday and activists will only state protest in the city. It was widely published in the media. But, on Friday morning buses stopped flying and police resorted to close down the shops and chase away people waiting for buses in the bus stand and bus stops in the city much for the discomfort of general public.

A large number public stranded in the city without food and shelter because of police official’s action without any prior announcement or notice.

Meanwhile, additional police deployed in the strategic places in Bantwal including BC Road, Kalladka, Bantwal, Navoora and Manihall and limping back to normalcy.
