Traffic Police

Mangaluru Traffic (North) Inspector Manjunath said that traffic on the particular stretch was slowing down due to the potholes opposite Hotel Dwaraka. Though requests had been made to the NHAI to fill it, there was no response. Inspector Manjunath and his team of policemen took an initiative and contacted a local builder who agreed to arrange a ready mix concrete vehicle. “Though a temporary measure, it will help in ensuring smooth flow of traffic for the next few days,” he said. The pothole is the result of water-logging as there is no drain.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) M. Sanjeev Patil said that despite reminders, the NHAI officials have failed in filling potholes which have been posing hardship to motorists on the national highway at Panambur and Kuloor. The NHAI officials have so far not installed streetlights along the Kulur bridge.
