Police Commissioner inaugurates Chanakya 2016 at Town Hall

Mangaluru Aug 6, 2016: City Police Commissioner M Chandrashekar inaugurates Chanakya-2016, a quiz competition for High School and PUC students here at Town Hall today August 6, Saturday. Chanakya competition was jointly organized by Karnataka Journalist Union in association with Information department.

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion M Chandrashekar recalled his past memories about his father who insisted to read newspapers to get more knowledge about the outside world.

The editorial column is heart of the newspaper which helps you to understand on how we need to think and express ourselves, this is the good initiative taken up by KJU to conduct such quiz activities for the students.

He also said that, journalist and police have love-hatred relationship sometimes we criticize each other and have close bonding with journalists here.

DC Dr Jagadeesh said that,  KJU has come up with a very good programme for the students. Students should inculcate to read newspapers to gain knowledge. Quiz is not only about gaining knowledge but need to be alert to answer the questions and bag prizes.

Muda Chairman Ibrahim Kodijaal, Harikrishna Punarooru, information officer Khader Shah and others were present.
