Mangaluru, September 2, 2019: Eight year old tigress Rani, an inhabitant of the Pilikula Dr Shivaram Karanth Nisargadhama has given birth to five cubs.
If three of the cubs are female, two are male and all of them are healthy. As of now visitors to the park are not allowed to see the cubs. It is only after three months that the cubs will be vaccinated and then brought out of the cage.
Tigress Rani was brought to Pilikula from Bannerghatta National Park three years ago. This is the first time that a Tigress in Pilikula has given birth to as many as five cubs.
