Pigeon hunting turns tragic : Man drowns in open well

Kinnigoli, Nov 03, 2016: In a tragic incident reported from  Sthalanthaguttu Palke in Aikala Gram Panchayat limits,a man named Vittal (32) fell into an open well and drowned when he along with two others  had ventured into the task of catching pigeons in the area.

Rajesh, Santosh and Vittal had set out to hunt for pigeons at around 11 am when they  saw a flock of pigeons in a bushy area. When all the three ran towards the pigeons, Vittal reportedly slipped and fell into the well.

The locals and the Mulki police were immediately informed and  Vittal’s body was retrieved by the Moodbidri fire service personnel from the 40 feet deep well.  The deceased has left behind his wife and three daughters.
