Mangaluru, Feb 9, 2016 : A quarrel that ensued between two while playing a housie housie game at Prakashnagar near Pandit House at Ullal on February 7, Sunday took a communal turn on Monday evening, when two others involved in a fist fighting over the issue eventually landing both of them in the hospital.
The injured youth are Mohammad Abid (25) of Prakashnagar and Sunil (23). On Sunday as many as 20 youth played housie housie at a local cricket ground when there arose a quarrel between Vajresh alias Chinnu and Kalander. Though the issue was resolved due to the intervention of others, on Monday Sunil took up the matter again with Abid’s friend Kalandar. The same evening there arose a quarrel between Abid and Sunil and it led to a big fight with stones hurled at each other by two groups.
The incident even sparked some amount of tension in the area. Police have maintained a strict vigil outside the hospital at Tokkottu where the two are admitted. A complaint and counter complaint has been lodged.
Housie Housie has turned into a communal violence. Foolish people fighting over simple issues. Keep the young ones away from these people as this type of attitude will grow in them too.
