Malpe, Feb 21, 2018: BJP President Amit Shah who addressed a fishermen’s meet at Malpe sea shore on February 21, Tuesday under the aegis of the state unit of the BJP, chose to dedicate much of his speech to launch a tirade against the Siddaramaiah Government in the state.
Shah said during his visit to the district he sensed the mood of the people of the coastal district who wish to end the Siddaramaiah government rule. He also said the huge gathering at the venue denotes that the BJP would surely come to power after the next elections. He also stated that the Ayyappan committee constituted to frame a national fisheries policy would make recommendations on various measures towards welfare of fishermen
Shah was felicitated on the occasion by presenting him a silver replica of mackarel fish. The fishermen also submitted a memroandum highlighting various demands.
