Pejawar Seer used to sign in Tulu script !

Udupi, Dec 30, 2019: Not many may be aware that Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt  who passed away on Sunday, used to  sign using Tulu script.

 

Pejawar Swamiji had himself once earlier told that he  only knew to write his name "Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji in Tulu," and that he was not well versed in Tulu script. He had also revealed that  he was taught Tulu Hastakshara   by his teacher in Pejawar Mutt.  He had even said that he was only following ’Guru Parampara.’

It has been gathered that the Pejawar seer had also learnt a few Tulu alphabets but did not pursue much after that.
