Albert, an electric contract worker, had taken his sister Lilly to Mumbai on June 5 and was returning home on June 7 when he went missing. Anita has stated in her complaint that her husband had called her from the general compartment of the train at 3:00 p.m. An hour later, he called again, but did not sound too well.

A worried Anita called Albert’s sister’s family at Mumbai. At 8:30 p.m. on the same day, a stranger called Anita, spoke to her in Tulu, and told her that her husband was behaving like a lunatic. Anita was unable to contact him over phone after that.

Albert’s relatives made every effort to trace him, but they could trace neither Albert nor his luggage. Albert did not have any valuables with him, just Rs. 1,500. Although the family searched the general compartment, they could not trace either Albert or his belongings.

According to the family, Albert was healthy, never had any mental disorders, and had visited Mumbai several times in the past. He speaks Konkani, Tulu, and Kannada and is physically fit.
