Mangalore, June 25, 2014:  Even as the attack on the lady ASI of Kundapur police station by a duo on June 23, Monday is still afresh in public minds, there has been yet another case of attack on a lady cop. This time it is in Mangalore.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Panambur SI Bharathi G and three constables sustained injuries when they were attacked by a notorious criminal at Baikampady on June 24, Tuesday night.

The SI and her team of constables had been to Baikampady to nab Salam wanted in an attempt to murder case   reported from Moodbidri. It is said when Bharathi and the constables surrounded  Salam, he brandished a bullet knife at them. When the police team tried to snatch the knife from him, he attacked the SI and the three other cops leaving them injured. The accused was also injured.

All of them including the constables Chandrahas, Satish and Radhakrishna have been hospitalised.

The accused Salam was wanted in several cases reported from Suratkal, Panambur and Moodbidri police station limits.
