Mangalore Today News Network

Mangaluru, May 23, 2015:  D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Union Law Minister, on May 22, Friday said the State government had mishandled the II PU evaluation issue. He went on to say, confusion of this kind should not happen at SSLC or PUC levels.  Careful of the highest type is needed  as it involves the future of students.

Sadananda Gowd...He added  CM Siddaramaiah and Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kimmane Ratnakar should take steps to resolve the issue. It must be decided whether grace marks should be given or not. They are answerable to the parents.

Replying a scribe he said the Congress was indulging in misleading propaganda and was trying to portray the Land Acquisition Bill and the BJP as a corporate baiter.  Congress is repeating the same lie a thousand times in the hope that it will tarnish the image of the Union government. The  knowledgeable people will give a suitable reply to the Congress.

On Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake’s comment that hardly any funds were allotted by the Centre, Minister  Gowda said when C M Siddaramaiah recently met the Prime Minister, he did  not bring up  any such issue. If Mr. Sorake brings any lapse to my notice, I will take it up with the Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu or PM  Modi, if necessary.

On CM  Siddaramaiah’s statement that he would try to make Karnataka a “BJP-free State,” Minioster  Gowda said instead of listing the achievements of his government, CM Siddaramaiah was attacking the Opposition. “Some people dream even in the day,” he said.

On holding Ambedkar Jayanti functions, given the new rule that all such functions should be organised by the families of the leaders and not the government, Minister  Gowda said that it is needed to  celebrate  anniversary. Or else, it will not be right.
