Mangalore, Jan 9, 2014: The Popular Front of India has questioned why the District Minister Ramanatha Rai is now silent and was not initiating any action against RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat though prior to the elections he had declared that his fight was against Bhat.
Speaking at a protest organised by the PFI in front of the DC office in the city on January 8, Wednesday, to condemn the provocative speech made by Bhat at Gurupur recently, Eliyas Mohammad, National Secretary of the PFI charged the Sangh Parivar of trying to incite communal feelings as the Parliamentary elections are fast approaching. He also charged the Sangh Parivar leaders of trying to create fear among the people.
He further alleged that the RSS leaders also enjoy the support of some police officials which have left them fearless.
A M Athaullah, District President of PFI, Anwar Sadath, Abdul Razak, PFI leaders, Hameed Kandak, Vice President of Muslim Central Committee, Anand Mitthabail, Convenor of Dalit Sangarsha Samithi and others participated in the protest.
