Mangaluru, Dec 1, 2016: Reports say, a consumer who purchased salt from a PDS outlet in Ajjavara cooperative society in Sullia taluk was in for a shock as the salt reportedly changed to a blue colour when it was mixed with rice powder. Gopala Menala from Ajjavara had purchased the salt from CA Bank.
While preparing food he noticed that the salt turned to a blue colour when it was mixed with rice powder. He duly informed about the matter to the president of CA Bank. A complaint was made with authorities of the food department and distribution of the salt has been stopped.
The salt has been sent to laboratory for verification purposes. Meanwhile, the matter has gone viral over social media.
