Outstanding Community Leader Award presented to Dr Olinda Pereira

Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2014: Veteran social worker Dr Olinda Pereira was presented the Outstanding Community Leader Award for the year 2013-14 at a function held at Fathima Retreat House on December 13, Saturday. The Award was instituted by the International Institute for Public Policy (IIPP). Mangaluru Bishop Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza and   Shivamogga Bishop Dr Francis Serrao presented the Award to Olinda Pereira.

 

 Special awards were presented on the occasion to Mangaluru Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza and noted singer Melwyn Peres on the occasion by Max Rasquinha, NRI based in Houstan and Founder President of the  International Institute of Public Policy. He also felicitated Fr Prashanth Madtha and Fr Eugene Lobo on the occasion.

Rasquinha  also presented  special gifts blessed by Vatican to all the guests of the  function.  Fr Santosh of Fathima Retreat House, Fr Denzil Lobo, Director of AIMIT and others were present.

Students of School of Social Work  Roshni Nilaya presented Christmas carols while Nach Sobhann troupe presented mesmerizing dance performances.
