Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2017: An orientation program for new admissions to B.Pharm, Pharm.D and D.Pharm courses for the year 2017-18 was organized at the KSHEMA Auditorium on 31 st July 2017.

The program started with a prayer invoking blessings of the almighty followed by lighting of the lamp as a auspicious beginning to the noble process of igniting the power of knowledge for a successful and fulfilling career of the new aspirants.

Inaugurating the program, Shri N. Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor Nitte University in his presidential address called upon the young aspirants to develop an insatiable appetite for acquiring knowledge and actively engage in path breaking research in their chosen field of study and thus partake in the nation building process. He added that the university is committed to provide a safe, secure and excellent research oriented academic ambience for all the students and a unique rewarding experience for those daring to dream and achieve big.

Dr. B. Sathish Kumar Bhandary, Dean, KSHEMA in his welcome note commended the parents for their wise decision to admit their wards to the Nitte group of Institutions. He said that while it was the responsibility of the college and the teachers to help the students realize their career goals, it was equally important for the parents to keep a tab on the performance of their wards and also encourage and motivate them rather than reprimand and admonish them for their failures and mistakes.


Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Controller of Examinations, Nitte University presented an account of the progress, the Nitte education trust has witnessed since 1979 and said that today the trust manages 35 institutions each contributing considerably in shaping successful professionals and responsible citizens.
 
Dr. R. Narayana Charyulu, Vice Principal, NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences welcomed the authorities of the University and the parents and students.

Dr. K.  Ishwar Bhat, HOD, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry delivered the vote of thanks.
