One more corona positive case in the district, Dakshina Kannada tally 7

Mangaluru, March 27, 2020: One more positive case of corona has been reported in Beltangady on Friday evening taking the total number of people with Covid-19 to 7 in the Dakshina Kannada district. Earlier in the day, A ten month old infant from Sajipanadu in Bantwal taluk tested positive.

In the fresh case, a 21-year-old youth from Karaya village in Beltangady tested positive. The person had arrived from Dubai on March 21 via Bengaluru airport and  he  travelled to his native village in a KSRTC bus. He was suffering from fever and cough and was admitted to Puttur government hospital. His swab samples were taken for lab test on March 24 and as per reports on March 27, he was tested positive.

The number of Corona Virus positive cases in the District currently stands at seven, while in neighboring District Kasargod has witnessed sharp rise in the number of positive cases of the deadly virus.

In Udupi, one Covid-19 positive case was reported on Friday. While the district has sent 124 samples for tests as on Friday, results of 92 cases were received wherein 91 were negative. Reports of 32 samples are pending. As many as 21 people were admitted for observation in the district on Friday.
