One killed in fight between two labourers at Tannir Bhavi beach

Mangaluru: Dec 10, 2023: The incident of fatally stabbing a coworker in a drunken brawl occurred near Tannir Bhavi Tree Park on Sunday morning. The victim identified as Binu (41), a resident of Kollam, Kerala, was allegedly attacked by Johnson (52), a resident of Talliparamba, Kerala, according to information provided by the police.

Binu and Johnson were employed as workers at a boat construction company near Tannir Bhavi Tree Park. They resided in separate accommodations within the factory premises. A personal dispute escalated into a quarrel on Saturday night. Binu, who had consumed alcohol in connection with the ongoing feud, allegedly stabbed Johnson, who resided in the factory house, resulting in his death, as per the police.

The accused, Johnson, has been taken into custody and enquiry is underway in Pannamboor Police Station.
