One dead and two injured in Scooter-Truck collision

Manjeshwar July 18, 2016: A woman killed, husband and child injured as a fish laden truck knocked the scooter. The accident occurred on July 18, Monday in the evening at National highway 66, near Hosasangadi in Manjeshwar.

accibent 18 july16 The deceased is identified as Muniba(25). Her husband Abbas(32)and one and a half year old daughter Nubaisa are injured. They are the residents of Poyyathabail in Manjeshwar.

It is learnt that Muniba along with her family were on their way back from Uppala. A fish laden truck plying towards Mangaluru knocked their scooter . The impact of the accident was such that Munaiba was thrown to a distance, where she breathed her last. Abbas and Nusaiba were injured in the accident are being treated at a hospital.

The locals say the reckless driving of the truck driver was the cause for the accident.

The Manjeshwar police are investigating the case.
