New Delhi, Nov 14, 2016 : Finance Ministry, on early Monday morning announced that the demonetised notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 would be acceptable at government hospitals, petrol stations and toll booths till November 24.
Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das announced on Monday, after the meeting held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence with senior ministers past midnight to review demonetisation and its impact.
In reality, many private hospitals, petrol stations and some other businesses are not flatly refusing to accept the old Rs 500, Rs 1000 currency notes, but are insisting on exact payment on the pretext that they do not have smaller denomination notes.

Though the Government has ordered but the bunks as well as hospitals are not accepting which has become a head ache to many . |
