Mangaluru, Feb 25, 2021:      Offensive writings  and a condom has been found in the  offertory box of the Daddalkadu Babbuswami Daivasthana in the city. Several people have gathered at the place and have expressed anguish over the incident.

City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has  said that the police would visit the spot and initiate measures to   trace the accused.

It may be recalled here that in similar incidents, offensive items were found in the offertory boxes of at least three religious places in the recent past.
