Mangaluru, May 14, 2019: With the city reeling under acute  water scarcity and rains still not in sight, the citizens have now sought divine intervention to appease Rain God.

A tender coconut abhisheka or Seeyala Abhisheka was offered to the Lord at the famous Kadri Shree Manjunatha Temple on May 14, Tuesday under the aegis of Kalkura Foundation, local residents and various other organisations.

The ritual was held in the presence of the Temple Committee Chairman A J Shetty. All those present on the occasion prayed for the welfare of the mankind and for the Rain God to shower his bountiful blessings on the region.

Kalkura Foundation President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura,  Temple Management Committee Member Harinath Jogi, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Sudhaker Rao  Pejawar, Kadri Navaneetha Shetty and others were present.
