Mangaluru, April 04, 2024: Nitte (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council and Atal Incubation Centre, celebrated Nitte Entrepreneurs Day - 2024 on Wednesday at the Avishkara Hall of the A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences.

On this gracious occasion, Prof. Dr. Sunil Muddaiah, Chair Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Founding Dean and Managing Trustee of the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences in Virajpete, Kodagu, was felicitated by the University.

After receiving the honors, Prof. Sunil advised the students and young professionals to listen to their hearts. "Passion must drive them to achieve what they desire most," he said, revealing the secret to success for entrepreneurs.

"Nitte University genuinely built and formed me as I studied at the A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences," he recalled. "Professors like U.B. Krishna Nayak and other teachers guided me and showed me the right path. That’s what has made me who I am today."
 
He also reminisced about his seniors, classmates, and juniors during his time at the A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences.

Prof. Dr. M.S. Moodithaya, after inaugurating the program, advised the students to think innovatively and become employers rather than employees. He opined that India is a great nation today because of its entrepreneurs.

Prof. Dr. Shantharam Shetty, Pro Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University) delivered the presidential remarks. He said, ‘Dr. Sunil is role model to many. The passion, ambition and continuous efforts will make an entrepreneur successful’.

Prof. Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, Nitte (Deemed to be University) delivered welcome address. Prof. Dr. G. Srinikethan, President, Institution’s Innovation Council of Nitte University delivered vote of thanks. Prof. Dr. A. P. Achar, CEO, Atal Incubation Centre of Nitte University briefed about the activities of the centre. Prof. Dr. U.B. Krishna Nayak, Principal, A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was present. Prof. Dr. Renita was the master of the ceremony.
