Kundapur, Nov 5, 2015 : A 32 year old newly married man  is admitted to the District Government Hospital at AJjarkad in a critical state after he was tied down and assaulted brutally  by the relatives of his wife. The incident was reported from Kammaradi in Tirthahalli on November 4, Wednesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Udaya Kumar (32). It has been gathered that  Udayakumar had married his lady love Sushma from Kammaradi last month  after an eight year long courtship. The couple also had at traditional marriage  at the Mookambika Temple at Kollur two months ago.

After the marriage, Sushma who had visited her parental home to spend a few days there had telephoned Uday on November 3, Tuesday night asking him to take her back to his home Accordingly, Uday  reached his in-laws’ home at 12 noon and Sushma was at the door steps to receive him. As she escorted him inside, some people  including Satish, Dinesh and Naveen who were hiding inside, attacked  Uday with lethal weapons after tying him down. It is learnt, the accused left Uday n a helpless state at the home for some time and later admitted  him to a hospital in Tirthahalli  hospital before escaping. The man was later admitted to Ajjarkad hospital.

It is learnt, Udaya’s marriage with Sushma was a second marriage after he divorced his first wife  who even had a child from him. It was second marriage even for Sushma.  Udaya’s brother Dharmendra has alleged that the girl’s relatives who could not do anything as Sushma and Udaya had a registered marriage, had  taken revenge on  Udaya after inviting him to his wife’s house.
