Mangaluru, June 06, 2019: State Minister for Urban Development and DK District in-charge Minister U T Khader has said that the government would soon formulate guidelines for Homestays and Paying Guest accommodations.
Speaking to media men here on Wednesday, he said already talks have been held with officials and legal experts in this regard. A draft guideline is being readied, he said and added that the new regulations would be helpful to those running PGs as well as people staying there. There will be a system of registering the PGs and homestays with local administrative bodies, the Minister said adding the safety of the tenants, provision of basic amenities etc will be taken into consideration.
Thumbay water enough till June 10 :
The Minister said the timely rationing system ensured by the administration had enabled supply of water to the city till now and added that the water available at the dam was suffice to be supplied till June 10.
Water supply tankers have been kept in readied state and the administration has identified government-private wells as well as borewells for water supply, he added.
