New fish market at Naguri inaugurated

Mangaluru, Feb 29, 2016 :The newly constructed fish market at Naguri was inaugurated on February 28, Sunday by State Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said such small markets are essential for a growing city, as it reduces congestion in bigger markets.

JR Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South who presided over the function, recalled the initiative made by late Ullal MLA UT Fareed in constructing this market. He further assured that all out efforts would be made to construct more such markets in the city and its outskirts.
Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor, Praveenchandra Alva, Asha D’Silva, Sabitha Misquith, Corporators and others were present.
