Mangaluru, Jan 9, 2015 : It is informed that Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy will inaugurate the newly-constructed bus stand in Puttur on January 9.
The bus stand construction work in-charge Jagadish Shetty said the bus stand has been constructed on public private partnership (PPP) model, including Hindustan Promoters and Developers, at a cost of Rs 33 crore on 2.98 acres of land. The new bus stand has three blocks - administration, bus terminal and commercial complex. As many as 27 buses could be parked at the bus terminal, he added.
The bus stand complex has a traffic controller’s room, space for women passengers and separate toilet facilities for differently abled, he said.
Ministers B Ramanath Rai, U T Khader, Vinay Kumar Sorake and K Abhayachandra Jain will take part. MLA Shakunthala Shetty will preside over the programme.
