Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2015: The new building of Manel Srinivas Nayak Memorial Besant Institute of Postgraduate Studies will be inaugurated on its Bondel campus on Tuesday, October 20.
Addressing reporters here on Saturday, Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, president of Women’s National Education Society (WNES) said "former governor of Reserve Bank of India and now the chairman of 14th Finance Commission Dr. Y V Reddy, will inaugurate the state-of-the-art building on its 3.5 acre campus in Bondel.
Mr. Shenoy said, the Institute has a well-developed IT lab enabled by the Tatas, a digital library providing access to international books and journals, Wi-Fi enabled campus, and hostels for boys and girls.
Dr Narayan Kayarkatte, director of MSNM Besant Institute od PG Studies, Mangaluru said, the institute has started the process to get autonomy, he said adding the accent will now be to introduce more specialized programmes in management as well as tie up with leading business management institutions for student-faculty exchange as well as with leading industries for placements. The Institute will also look at strategic alliances for placements and curriculum.
