New acting V-C of Mangalore varsity

Mangaluru, June 06, 2018: Kishor Kumar C.K., director, Department of Physical Education and Sports, Mangalore University, took charge as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the university on Tuesday. The four-year term of K. Byrappa as the V-C of the university ended on Monday.

Mr. Kumar will be in-charge till the Governor appoints a new Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of a search committee.

The committee would have a nominee each by the university, University Grants Commission (UGC), the government and the Governor. Sources in the university said that the committee is yet to be constituted.
