New Qazi of Udupi takes charge

Kaup, Oct 11, 2020: The new Qazi of Udupi district Sunni Samyukta Jamaat, Zainul Ulama M Abdul Hameed Musliyar Maani took charge at a ceremony held at Muloor Central Jamma Masjid premises on October 10, Saturday. The new Qazi is a senior scholar and General Secretary of Karnataka Ulama Federation.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Islamic Education Board of India’s Teachers Forum National General Secretary Dr Muhammad Fazil Razwi Kavalakatte Hazrath.

Speaking after assuming charge as Khazi, Abdul Hameed Musliyar called upon the Jamaat Committees and religious leaders to strive towards channelizing the youth power in the right direction. He also exhorted Jamaats to solve differences if any in an amicable manner.

Several religious leaders and prominent personalities of the community were present.
