New Mangalore Port gate comes crashing down; kills CISF jawan

Mangaluru, Nov 17,2016:  In a tragic incident, a CISF jawan who was on duty at the New Mangalore Port at Panambur was crushed to death when the huge iron gate at the entrance of the Port fell over him during the wee hours of November 17, Thursday.

 

 

 

 

 

The gate was very old and had developed rust. The mishap took place when   the CISF jawan  named Eshwar Naik (54) was about to close the gate upon completion of his duty hours.

Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. Panambur Police have registered a case.
