New Block of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences to be inaugurated on Jan 12

Mangaluru, Jan 08, 2019: The New Block of A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences will be inaugurated by N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University) at a function to be held on January 12, Saturday at 10 AM.

The Institute which is spread over a 1.2 lakh square feet area in Derlakatte now has a new block with an area of 50,000 square feet with the objective of providing still better service to the society. The new block houses a special dental clinic, modern implant division, Community Dentistry Health Division and paediatric dentistry division.

It also houses a dedicated department with advanced equipment to detect oral diseases as well as a division to cater to the needs of the special children, stated a press release from Prof.(Dr.) U.S. Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences.

The release further stated that the Institute has the credit of being one of the five best dental colleges of India. It has also been offering free dental care to the rural areas in the 150 km vicinity by setting up 21 dental health centres.
